Brahmaputra Rafting Expedition

This is a 12 – day long trip where you not only experience the fun of rafting but also enjoy many other things with it like a boating trip where you can see dolphins, dense tropical rainforest, the migratory birds, etc.

The source of this river lies in the Kanglung Kang Glacier near the Kailash range of Himalayas located in the south-western part of the Tibetan plateau at an elevation of 5,300m (82°10° E and 30°30' N) near Konggyu Tso Lake . Day Itinerary

  • Day 1
    Delhi – Dibrugarh.

    On arrival at Delhi Airport you’ll be received by an executive and directly transferred to domestic airport to catch flight towards Dibrugarh. Arrival at Dibrugarh and check-in at hotel for overnight halt.
  • Day 2
    Dibrugarh – Pasighat.

    After breakfast, transfers to Pasighat by boat which is almost 80 kms and would probably take about 08 hours. On this boating trip you will see dolphin in the Ganges River & a great variety of resident & migratory birds from Siberia & Central Europe. Overnight at camp on Pasighat river side.
  • Day 3
    Pasighat – Siang River – Tuting.

    After breakfast at camp in Pasighat, drive along Siang river, passing through Adi villages, settlements and lush tropical rainforest. Tuting is the starting point of your rafting. Arrival at Tuting and check in at the camp.
  • Day 4

    This is a day to relax and sort your gear. Do whatever you want and if you like, walk through the local tribal village. Overnight stay will be at camp in Tuting.
  • Day 5
    Tuting – Pango.

    Today we scout and raft down the RAPID and enter the NINGUING & MARMONG GORGES, one of the most beautiful and remote jungle GORGES in the world.
  • Day 6
    Pango – Cherring.

    This is another exciting day to raft where you will get a breathtaking view of jungle. This rafting starts from Pango and ends at Cherring where you will encounter big rapid at Rikor and Zebra Rock rapid and also Class 6 rapid at Cherring. Overnight stay will be at the camp.
  • Day 7
    Cherring – Alubadi.

    Early morning, after breakfast, start your adventurous journey of rafting from Cherring to Alubadi where you will have to face several Class 3+ rapids followed by a float. Arrival at Alubadi and set up camp for overnight halt.
  • Day 8
    Alubadi – Geku.

    Today your rafting begins with big rapid below Alubadi beach, which is commonly called as ‘Moing Madness”. Arrival at the beautiful camp site of Geku. Set up camp for the night halt at Geku.
  • Day 9

    Entire day free to explore or you can rest in your camps.
  • Day 10
    Geku – Rotung.

    You will raft from Geku till Sangam. This is probably an easy day with long float sections. Arrival at Rotung and free to do what you like. Dinner and bonfire at the campsite.
  • Day 11
    Rotung – Pasighat.
  • :-
    Today your rafting begins from Rotung and ends at Pasighat. This is the final run to the plains at Pasighat and you’ll negotiate with the last biggie at Ponging. The Siang seems to gather a lot more volume as you float into Pasighat. Transfer to rest house at Pasighat.
  • Day 12
    Pasighat – Dibrugarh – Delhi.

    Drive to Boghiwheel Ghat and take a ferry boat across to Dibrugarh. Transfer to airport for flight to New Delhi.
