This River rafting expedition starts from Pancheswar and goes down the Kali – Sharda River to end at Tanakpur. This trip is in the Kumaon region of the Himalayas. This river also acts as the border between India and Nepal.

The river runs as a border between India and Nepal, showing great whitewater potential in Uttarakhand in India.Your expedition trip begins at Kathgodam,Uttarakhand. It forms the last station on its Indian Railways line. From here onwards, you would have to take the automobile to reach the Kumaon region of the Himalayan Mountains. Camp sites are heavenly on isolated remote beaches.
The river trip starts from Pancheshwar, and finishes at Tanakpur.With big strong eddies and eddy lines, the challenge to paddle downstream was great. As we made our way down,This is a high volume river with mostly up to class III kind of rapids and one class IV rapid. One night would be at guest house in Lohaghat, and two nights camping besides the river.

Day Itinerary

  • Day 0
    Board overnight train from Delhi for Kathgodam (Ranikhet Express).
  • Day 1
    Early morning arrival at Kathgodam. drive by road to Lohaghat ( 6 hours ). Lohaghat is a small hill-station, at an altitude of 1770 Mtrs Post afternoon at leisure.
  • Day 2
    Our river trip starts from Pancheshwar, which is about 40 kms from Lohaghat. At Pancheshwar, This is a stunning spot plonked at the confluence of the Kali and Saryu rivers, and is a well-known fishing spot. End the rafting just after the confluence and set up camp here for the night.Pancheshwar is a famous fishing spot for Mahaseer. After a detailed safety briefing we start from Pancheshwar on rafts and kayak with all our camping gear and luggage packed in waterproof drybags, The river would be pacy, and participants can look forward to several exciting rapids before we camp on a beach besides the river.overnight stay in tent.
  • Day 3
    We continue our river journey, and the highlight for today is a long class IV rapid, the Chooka. Scout the rapid, and further raft down below the Chooka to set camp. After Chooka the river flows through the Terai jungles, and there are several eye opening rapids.saty in beautiful sandy beach & overnight stay in tent .
  • Day 4
    Day starts early, and we float past the Terai jungles hit the rapids. trip ends here ,this place called Boom, near Tanakpur. The river trip ends here, and rafters are transferred to Kathgodam . the overnight train Ranikhet express for Delhi.

    • Accommodation (camping on beach or guest-house )will be provided throughout the trip as mentioned in the itinerary on triple sharing basis.
    • Meals: fresh veg or non-veg food will be prepared for you . As per itinerary. Tea /coffee, snacks & drinking water during the trek or raft.

    • Self bailing rafts will be provided to participants with maximum 6 /8 participants per raft.
    • For safety expert and qualified rescue kayakers will escort the Entire trip.
